STIP Presentation
This Tunisian tire industry company was created on July 21, 1980.
STIP manufactures and the markets tires and is the only tire manufacturer in Tunisia.
The company has two production units: a factory in M'saken and a factory in Menzel Bourguiba.
The production capacity is about 650,000 tires per year or 15,100 tons, expandable to 1 million tires per year.
Milestones
1980 :
Start of studies for the creation in Tunisia of a tire manufacturing unit with radial textile structure for commercial vehicles and trucks.
1998 :
STIP is certified ISO - 9002 by the certification body TUV CERT.
1983 :
Construction started on workshops and buildings housing the Tunisian Society of Pneumatic Industries - STIP.
2001 :
STIP signed with PIRELLI the contract to transfer the know-how of the new All-Steel technology for the manufacture of truck tires.
1985 :
Started manufacturing AMINE tires: Touring Series 80, Vans, Light Transport and Heavy Duty Radial Textile with metal belts.
2003 :
Start of the All-Steel unit.
1990 :
Started manufacturing AMINE Tourisme 70 series tires.
2003 :
Certification of the Integrated Quality / Environmental Management System according to ISO-9001 version 2000 and ISO 14001 version 1996.
1998 :
STIP is certified ISO-9002 by the TUV CERT certification body.
2003 :
Strengthening the AMINE brand in Morocco by setting up a distribution network composed of 15 points of sale throughout Morocco.
AMINE brand passenger, light weight truck and semi-truck tires are homologated according to European E4 standards and W4 American standards. . STIP has been awarded the ISO 14001 version 2004 and ISO 9001 version 2008 certification by the German certification body TUV-CERT.
